On behalf of the Faculty of Business Studies at City Unity College, I would like to introduce to you the prestigious academic degrees that we offer in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University, on the fields of Business and Management, since 2013.
As a Faculty, our mission and vision are to promote academic excellence and professionalism towards our students who will become the next generation of business executives. Thus, we have adopted a very demanding and challenging curriculum of programmes, starting from the 1st day of studies. Throughout the years of collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University, we have modified the curriculum of the program several times so as to encapsulate the demanding and even turbulent business environment of the 21st century. Our motive as Instructors is to bridge theory with practice by providing our students with analytical and critical skills which are fundamental for a complex problem-solving process in the contemporary business context worldwide.
For the Business Studies, our aim is to provide a high quality and professionally relevant undergraduate programmes, developing in students a critical appreciation of the role of managers undertake in the modern business world. Graduates will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for a multi-disciplinary approach to diverse business, information communication technology and management problems. On completion of the degrees covered by the subject benchmark statement, a student should have earned specific knowledge and understanding, cognitive skills, practical, professional and transferable skills in order to confront complex situations in the organizations or even on an entrepreneurial level. All Business Programmes, use a range of different assessment strategies, which include: essays and reports; critical reviews and commentaries; analytical exercises; individual or group presentations; a project-based report; a dissertation; computer-based assessments and informed discussion and debate.

Also, in terms of employability CityU College has a very extensive networking of companies while at the same time the Faculty has an excellent professional background which promotes the best students in conglomerate greek and international companies. We have established a very dynamic Business Club Association which consists of all the Graduates of Business Studies throughout the years, which organizes symposiums, open days and conferences in order to maintain the relationships with the Business world.
As for the Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, it has received several accreditations and prize awards for its teaching excellency. To be more specific, it has a Silver Teaching Excellence Framework (TFE) rating (HEFCE 2017), while it is consistently ranked as one of the top universities in the UK (The Times Good University Guide, The Sunday Times University Guide, The Guardian University Guide, The Independent Complete University Guide). It has been also ranked the top University in the UK for ‘International student support’ in the International Student Barometer for six years (ISB 2010-2015) and won the Times Higher Education’s Most Improved Student Experience Award in 2014. In 2015, CMET was the 3rd most improved UK University in the Complete University Guide list. 95% of the graduates are working or continue further studies within six months of graduation (DLHE 2016). The Higher Education Academy’s Postgraduate Research Students Survey ranked Cardiff Metropolitan among the top 10 UK universities in all of its five key areas of measurement.
