City Unity College proudly announces the founding of Ithaca Institute of Intercultural Cooperation (IIIC) in cooperation with its Institutional Partners: Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport https://www.aast.edu/en/index.php, Arab Republic of Egypt; Cardiff Metropolitan University https://www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/, United Kingdom; Moscow State Pedagogical University http://en.mpgu.su/, Russian Federation; and Sevastopol State University https://www.sevsu.ru/english/, Russian Federation.

City Unity College Faculty, students, and alumni joined the inauguration day of the project on May 10, 2019 in CUC Athens Campus at 15-17 Thisseos St.

Based on the magnificent Greek island of Ithaca, linked with Homer’s epic poem Odyssey, a worldwide symbol of knowledge and classical education, IIIC aims to provide high quality academic courses in ethical and effective leadership for the 21st Century and to enhance meaningful and sustainable intercultural cooperation across all sectors of global human society.

IIIC and its pioneering Future Leaders Program https://cityu.gr/ithaca-institute-of-intercultural-cooperation-iiic/ were presented by Vesselin Todorov, Project Leader and Cardiff Metropolitan University MBA Program Leader and Level 6, MBA, & LLM Dissertation Coordinator, CUC and Dr. Panayotis Yannacopoulos, Business Department Faculty, CUC.

Institutional Partners’ messages of support and wishes for success were sent by: Eslam Morshedi, Director of Hellenic Maritime Career Center, CUC and Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport; Dr. Mukul Madahar, Associate Dean International and Jane Levy, Link Tutor for CUC, Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff Metropolitan University; Dr. Sergey Zasorin, Director, Institute of Foreign Languages, Moscow State Pedagogical University; and a group of students from Sevastopol State University participating in IIIC Future Leaders Program.

From June 24 to July 5, 2019, professors and students from City Unity College, Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, and Sevastopol State University will participate in Future Leaders Program, tailor-made to the educational needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students across disciplines.

Participants in the program will be awarded The IIIC Certificate in Intercultural Cooperation by the IIIC International Scientific Council, an academic body comprised of leading academics from City Unity College, Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, and Sevastopol State University.

Participants in Future Leaders Program will undoubtedly enhance their leadership knowledge and skills and expand their international network of contacts. Earning The IIIC Certificate in Intercultural Cooperation will enrich their CV and increase their employability.
