CUC’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Department Induction Day 2018/2019
The department of Hospitality & Tourism Management of City Unity College Athens held its induction day for the academic year 2018/2019 on Monday, October 15, at the Athenian Riviera Hotel in Vouliagmeni.
Induction Day is essential to students’ successful transition to college life, giving them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with their new college environment, meet faculty and staff, and learn about opportunities that will enhance their college experience.
Incoming new undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of International Hospitality & Tourism Management, International Food & Beverage Management and Events Management, had the chance to meet the faculty and staff of the Hospitality & Tourism Management department, to visit the diverse workshops, as well as become acquainted with the premises of the privately owned, 4-star Athenian Riviera Hotel, which provides the students an advantage no other college in Greece can offer in the Hospitality and Tourism education and training sector, namely operative training in a fully operational, much frequented hotel.
The President of City Unity Educational Group, Mr. Harris Geronikolas, the Dean of City Unity College, Professor Gregory Root, the Head of the Hospitality Department, Mr. Andreas Sammoutis, the Registrar of City Unity College, Despoina Masaouti, and Mrs. Sybil Hofmann, President of International Programmes του Alpine Centre Switzerland which is affiliated with City Unity College in terms of hospitality & tourism education and training, in their welcoming speeches introduced students to their new academic lives.
The Induction Day 2018 came to a close with faculty and staff wishing all participants a fulfilling, creative and productive academic year.

Οι εκδηλώσεις για το Induction Day του ακαδημαϊκού έτους 2018/2019 για το τμήμα Hospitality & Tourism Management του City Unity College πραγματοποιήθηκαν τη Δευτέρα, 15 Οκτωβρίου, στο Athenian Riviera Hotel, στη Βουλιαγμένη.
Το πρόγραμμα γνωριμίας και εισαγωγής είναι απαραίτητο για την επιτυχή μετάβαση των φοιτητών στην κολεγιακή ζωή, καθώς τους προσφέρει την ευκαιρία να εξοικειωθούν με το καινούργιο περιβάλλον στο κολέγιο, να συναντηθούν με τους καθηγητές και το προσωπικό και να μάθουν τους τρόπους και τις δυνατότητες που τους παρέχονται για να ενισχύσουν την ακαδημαϊκή τους εμπειρία.
Οι νέοι προπτυχιακοί και μεταπτυχιακοί σπουδαστές στους τομείς International Hospitality & Tourism Management, International Food & Beverage Management και Events Management, είχαν την ευκαιρία να συναντήσουν τους υπεύθυνους σπουδών, τους καθηγητές και το προσωπικό του Τμήματος Hospitality & Tourism Management, να επισκεφθούν τα εργαστήρια και να εξοικειωθούν με τις εγκαταστάσεις του 4άστερου ιδιωτικού ξενοδοχείου Athenian Riviera Hotel, το οποίο προσφέρει στους φοιτητές ένα πλεονέκτημα που κανένα άλλο κολέγιο στην Ελλάδα δεν μπορεί να προσφέρει στον τομέα της ξενοδοχειακής και τουριστικής εκπαίδευσης, δηλαδή την πρακτική εκπαίδευση σε ένα πλήρως λειτουργικό και πολυσύχναστο ξενοδοχείο.

Sybil Hofmann, President of International Programmes του Alpine Centre Switzerland -το οποίο είναι συνδεδεμένο με το City Unity College σε θέματα εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης στον ξενοδοχειακό και τουριστικό τομέα-, στις ομιλίες τους καλωσόρισαν τους σπουδαστές στη νέα τους ακαδημαϊκή ζωή.
