BA (Hons) International Food & Beverage Management
City Unity College, in partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University, offers an undergraduate program BA (Hons) International Food and Beverage Management for those who want to gain a comprehensive knowledge and widespread experience on the design, production, operation and management of the entire food and beverage system.
Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK validated the 3-year Swiss Alpine program in International Food and Beverage Management and confers the Bachelor’s degree at the end of the third year. This program is offered at City Unity College since 2012. The first two years of the program, including two paid internships of 5 months each, lead to the award of the Swiss Alpine Diploma in Culinary Arts Management. The program is aimed at students who wish to acquire the appropriate knowledge and professional skills to work effectively as middle or senior executives in the food and beverage industry.
Students who join the 3-year BA (Hons) International Hospitality & Tourism Management program at City Unity College have the opportunity of graduating with dual qualifications: a Swiss Alpine Center Diploma in Culinary Arts and a BA(Hon) from Cardiff Metropolitan University. This makes our students very employable.
This program will give students a range of managerial skills to run their own business and also a high level of practical skills to allow the restaurateur or chef to provide a unique culinary experience to their customers. Industry placement (internship) is an integral part of the program and the student is required to complete two paid industry placements. Upon successful completion of the two years of study and two paid industry placements, students are awarded a Swiss Alpine Diploma in Culinary Arts by Alpine Center, the Swiss Business School for Hotel & Tourism Management.
